Thelma L. Sims, 88 of Latrobe passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at her home.
She was born Friday, January 19, 1923 in Uniontown, and was the Daughter of the late Walter P. and Hazel C. Lowdermilk.
Thelma was a retired employee of the former Robertshaw Control Co. with 40 years of service.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Greensburg and had served as a deacon of the church along with being active with the worship committee and the Lois Circle.
She was preceded in death besides her parents by her son William Terry Sims on May 10, 2008 and her sister Shirley Barnhart.
Thelma is survived by her daughter- in- law Bonnie Sims, grandson William Sims, two step granddaughters, Lisa Driggers and Kathy Spears, five great grandchildren, a niece Sue Shoffner, a nephew Bill Barnhart and her extended family Joyce and George Vargulish and Oma Hoffer.
Family and Friends will be received at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg on Monday from 10 am till 12 PM.
Services will follow in the First Presbyterian Church, 300 South Main Street, Greensburg on Monday at 12:30 pm with Rev. Martin Ankrum officiating.
Interment will be in the Hoyes Cemetery in McHenry, Maryland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Thelma's memory.
