Thelma Walthour

Thelma Leone Walthour, 87, of Oldsmar, FL, formerly of Greensburg, died, Wednesday, March 22, 2023, in Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor, FL.  She was born December 8, 1935, in Luxor, a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Wilt Leone. She was a member of Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greensburg. She was a 1954 graduate of Greensburg High School. She retired from Bell Telephone (Verizon) with 30 years of service. She was a volunteer for Relay for Life, Operation Santa Claus and Cancer Society Daffodil Days. Thelma had survived metastatic breast cancer since 1975. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Emma Ruth Boskey (Mike), Alice Maughan (Peter), Thomas A. Leone (Sarah), George Leone and infant brother, Joseph Robert Leone; nephews, George and Brian “Pie “Leone; in-laws, William and Gertrude Walthour. Thelma is survived by her husband of 55 years, William T. Walthour; also, many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Family and friends will be received Wednesday, March 29, from 3 pm to the hour of service at 6 pm at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg. Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 140 South Pennsylvania Avenue, Greensburg, PA 15601.
