Thelma Weyandt

October 10, 1920 — February 21, 2018

Thelma “Ruth” Weyandt, 97 of Greensburg, passed away, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Nature Park Commons.  She was born October 10, 1920 in Greensburg a daughter of the late John and Mary (Breeze) Stavers.

Mrs. Weyandt was a loving homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother.  She was Presbyterian by faith and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel E. Weyandt; a grandson, David Weyandt and a brother, John Stavers.

She is survived by her three children, Nancy R. Betlan; Daniel F. Weyandt and wife Marjorie and Keith Weyandt and wife Colleen; eight grandchildren, Robert Oplinger (Cindy); Steve Oplinger (Denise); Danita Zider (Jerome); Douglas Weyandt (Gwenn); Deanna Aboud; Derrick Weyandt; Wendy Dyer (Dave); and Sandy Miller (Mike); eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Elsie Brickner and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday FROM 4 TO 8 PM in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 N. Main St, Greensburg where her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 am with Chaplain Don Hezlep officiating.  Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery, Greensburg.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Nature Park Commons and Bridges Hospice for the kind care they provided Ruth.
