Theodore A. "Ted" DeFelice, Sr., 80, of Greensburg, passed away, Monday, Dec. 21, 2009 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 13, 1929 in Pittsburgh a son of the late Pierre and Victoria Pagliaro DeFelice.
Ted was employed as a meat cutter for Kroger Supermarket and as an insurance agent. Following his retirement he was employed as a security guard for Pointe Security at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art and worked at the Greensburg WalMart. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Crabtree and was a social member of Greensburg Fire Dept. Station #1.
Ted is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor J. (Muto) DeFelice; his devoted children, Shirley Turrentine and husband David; Ted DeFelice; Pierre DeFelice and wife Dona; Gerilyn McAdams and husband Bob; Margie Humm and husband Jay; Jim Graham and wife Beth; John Graham and Christina Graham; 20 grandchildren, Tim, Wendy, Pierre, Bryan, Derek, Dana, Stephanie, Michael, Nicholas, Christine, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Joseph, Andrew, Sarah, Katie, Preston, Ben, Nicholas and Caroline; five great-grandhcildren, Landon, Bella, Jackson, Pierre and Leah; and two sisters, Rose Cox and Victoria Maus and husband Jack.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred G. DeFelice; sisters, Angie Roush and Mary Canistraro and brothers, Leonard, Pierre and Paul DeFelice.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 6-8 pm and Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC 524 N. Main St. Greensburg. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 10 am in St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Crabtree with Fr. Leon Hont, OSB officiating. Entombment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
