Thomas Paul Barbour Sr.73 of South Greensburg also known as Skinny or Skippy, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 at his residence. He was a former employee of Walworth Company, bus driver for Hempfield Area School District, and Redstone Highlands Nursing Home. He was currently employed by DMJ Transportation.
He was a lifetime member of Midway St. Clair Fire Department and a former chief. He was also a lifetime member of the Mt. Pleasant Fireman's Club. He was very involved with helping out at South Greensburg Fire Department and other surrounding companies. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends at McDonalds and his beloved dog, Max.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Barbour, his father, Alex Barbour, his grandmother, Virginia Fontana, and his brother, Alex (Sonny) Barbour. He is survived by his children, son, Thomas Paul Barbour Jr. and his fiancAC.e, Amanda Pinto and also his daughter Samantha Jean Barbour, his former wife, Doris Barber, his siblings Carmella Knizer, Jean (Dom) Emanuelle, George (Pat) Barbour, and Michael (Janet) Barbour. Also by his close friend, Teresa Grove and her daughter and son-in-law Teresa Lynn and Rick, and by many nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be missed by many.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME (an authorized remembrance provider) with service immediately following at 8pm with Rev. David Jack officiating.
Members of the Midway -St Clair fire Dept. will conduct a firemen's service on Tuesday in the funeral home at 6 pm .
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations to any of the local Fire Depts. In the area or one's favorite charity.
