Thomas William "Bugs" Everett, 63 of Greensburg, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014. He was born June 19, 1951 in Greensburg the son of the late William and Veda Everett.
Prior to his retirement he was employed by Hutchison and Gunter where he worked for 40yrs.
He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and received the bronze, silver and gold palms and the God and Country award. In addition, he was a member of the Order of the Arrow.
He was also a member of Blythe Lodge 593 West Newton, was a Shriner and a 32nd degree Mason.
Tom was an active member of the Greensburg Fire Department where he had served as Captain and long-time chairman of the carnival for Hose Company #3. Currently, he was serving as President of the Board of the Greensburg Fire Museum. He was President of the local Chapter of the Red Knights motorcycle club and was a member of the Hill Top Club.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife Jackie (Crum) Everett and a great niece, Dara Marie Flock.
He is survived by his sisters, Karin E. (Dennis) Flock and Jan E. (John) Owen of Greensburg; a niece, Heather (George) Reichart; and his nephews Michael (Donna) Flock, Derek (Amber) Owen and Kyle Owen; also four great nieces, Makayla, Rylie, Harleigh and Amanda; and three great nephews, Hayden, Kyle, and Georgie. Also surviving is his brother in law, Bruce (Marietta) Crum and daughters, Christie and Kelly and a sister in law, Jane Lee (David) Pellegrini.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 N. Main St. Greensburg where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am with Rev. John Owen. Interment will follow in the St. Clair Cemetery. The Masonic Lodge will conduct a memorial service at 7 pm and Members of the Greensburg Fire Department will conduct a memorial service at 7:30 pm both on Tuesday in the funeral home.
