Tracy S. Courtney

Tracy Showman Courtney, 56, of Greensburg, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023. She was born in Pittsburgh on February 27, 1967, the daughter of William and Yvonne (Hepler) Showman. She was a 1985 graduate of Hempfield Area School District and a 1989 graduate from the University of Pittsburgh. For 27 years, Tracy worked as a teacher for Hempfield Area School District and concluded her teaching career at Valley School of Ligonier. Tracy was a creative, proud teacher and was very passionate about the success of her students. She continued her career at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as a Manager of Professional Learning and then at UPMC as Director of the UPMC experience. In her spare time, Tracy enjoyed dancing at TDI studio, worshipping at Charter Oak Church, and volunteering at several organizations in the Greensburg area. Tracy was an extremely devoted mother to her three children, Tyler, Madison, and Mackenzie; and her beloved dog, Bella; and grand dog, Dixie Lou. In addition to her parents and children, she is survived by her two brothers, Jeff (Jennifer) and Scott Showman; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends.
