Twila Hunter Stevenson, 87 of Greensburg, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Redstone Highlands.
She was born November 21, 1925 in Greensburg, PA, daughter of the late Andrew Hunter Stevenson and Mary Gibson Stevenson Morgan.
Twila was a member of Member of First Presbyterian Church.
She worked as an elementary school teacher and guidance counselor before she retired from Greensburg-Salem School District.
Twila was an avid bridge player and member of the American Contract Bridge League. She enjoyed traveling the world and loved to see plays and movies, visit museums, and was a frequent visitor to the library.
Besides her parents, Twila was preceded in death by her sisters, Kathleen Stevenson Brown and Mary Jane Stevenson Rich.
Surviving are a number of cherished nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and fond cousins in Northern Ireland, New York, and Washington, DC.
Twila's family would like to thank the staff at Redstone Highlands for their care and support, and also Roger Stern, a true dear friend.
Family and friends will be received on Monday from 3-5pm and 7-9pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street Greensburg, where services will be held on Tuesday at 10am with Rev Martin Ankrum officiating.
Interment will follow in the St. Clair Cemetery.
