Velma I. (Loughner) Howard, 89 of Greensburg passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011 in Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Hempfield Twp.
She was born Thursday, August 11, 1921 in Jeannette, Daughter of the late Samuel and Nettie Beaver Loughner.
Velma was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jeannette and the Jeannette Order of Eastern Star.
She had worked for a time during WW II at the Elliott Company in Jeannette.
Velma was preceded in death besides her parents by her husband, Eugene W. Howard (1990) and one brother Norman Loughner and three sisters Elsie Wise, Ivy Haines and Cora Pecarchik.
Surviving are her children Norman E. Howard and wife Tudy Snyder Howard , Patricia Skonezny and husband Ron all of Greensburg and Lynn Deluga and husband John of Ohio and five grandchildren Chad Howard and wife Amy Niedoba Howard, Jonathan and Chelsea Skonezny, Ryan and Emily Deluga, two Great grandchildren, Audrey Reid Howard and Hudson Howard and a Sister, Laverne Miller of Greensburg.
Family and Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg.
Services will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday, at 10 am with Rev. Larry Armstrong officiating.
Entombment will be in the Twin Valley Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Action for Animals, Route #217, Latrobe, Pa. 15650.
