Virginia Mae Kolk, 91 of Greensburg passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011 in her home.
She was born Tuesday, January 13, 1920 in Akron, Ohio, Daughter of the late Emerson L. and Estella Mae Ruehling Stone.
Virginia was a graduate of the Akron City Hospital school of nursing and a member of the Maplewood Presbyterian Church in Greensburg and the Westmoreland Botanical Society of Westmoreland County.
Surviving are her loving husband, Chester Kolk and two Sons, Michael R. Kolk of Mass. and David L. Kolk of Greensburg. Her sister Dorothy Hettmansperger of New Mexico and four Grandchildren Brandon, Stephen and Jennifer Kolk and Nikole Sullivan and three Great Grandchildren Jacob and Will Kolk and Reagan Sullivan.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 16, 2011 at 11 am in the Maplewood Presbyterian Church with Rev. Stephen LaSor officating. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to either the Maplewood Presbyterian Church, 108 Woodlawn Road, Greensburg, Pa. 15601 or the Pet Adoption League, 150 Spring Street, Yukon, Pa. 15698
