Virginia M. White, 96, of Greensburg, died, Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. She was born, July 31, 1918, in Unity Township, a daughter of the late Oscar and Edna Shirey Mershon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harrold D. White.
A graduate of Indiana University, she was a teacher in the Latrobe and Penn Hills School Districts, before retirement. Virginia was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Greensburg. Also, she was a member of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania and National Retired Teachers Associations.
Friends will be received at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street on Friday from 10-11AM. Funeral services will be held, Friday at 11 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Bobbie Hineline officiating. Interment will be held in Unity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Redstone Highlands, 6 Garden Center Drive, Greensburg, 15601.
