Vivian Quinn

Vivian H. “Vivi” Quinn, 14, of Greensburg (Unity Township), died Monday, August 22, 2016 at her home.  She was born in Greensburg on March 20, 2002, a daughter of Gerald P. “Jeep” Quinn, Jr. and Jennifer Holli Thomas Quinn.  She was a member of Charter Oak United Methodist Church.  She was very active in spite of having a kidney disorder called nephrotic syndrome.   Vivi was a student at Greater Latrobe Area High School, where she just made the school’s varsity tennis team.  She had also been a cheerleader in junior high.  Vivi was a great baker and loved spending time with her sisters, friends and her dogs.  She especially enjoyed going to Kidney Camp with her friends.  Vivian always thought of others before herself and had been described many times as having “the kindest soul”.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sisters, Bailey and Regan Quinn, at home; maternal grandparents, Jim and Judie Thomas of Greensburg and paternal grandparents, Gerald and Karen Quinn of Greensburg; great grandmother, Armeda Gray of Latrobe; her aunts, Jamie Rebosky (Jim) of North Huntingdon, Jodie Daerr (Rob) of Greensburg and Alecia Wengert (Bill) of Derry; her uncle, Brian Quinn (Becky) of Latrobe; also, many beloved cousins.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg.  Additional viewing will be held on Friday from 2-3 PM at Charter Oak United Methodist Church, 449 Frye Farm Road, Greensburg.  Vivian’s funeral service will be held on Friday at 3 PM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Western Pennsylvania Kidney Camp, 722 Fourth Avenue, New Kensington, PA 15068.   Memorials could also be made in Vivian’s name to the Nephcure Foundation 150 S. Warner Road, Suite 402 King of Prussia, PA 19406, nephcure.org.
