Walter Boyce

February 15, 1919 — September 27, 2011

Walter R. Boyce, 92, of Greensburg, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour September 27, 2011 in Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. He was born February 15, 1919, in Bayonne, NJ, a son of the late Harry VanNote and Helen Herring Boyce. Walter was a member of Open Door Baptist Church. Prior to his retirement, he served as Director of the Accounting Center at UGI Utilities in Reading, PA. Walter served in the 34th Infantry Division, United States Army in World War Two.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his beloved wife of 58 years Ethel Auxer Boyce and a brother, Edwin H. Boyce.He is survived by a son, Douglas W. Boyce and wife Carol, of Greensburg; three grandchildren Christine E. Thompson and husband Pastor Brian of Brooks, ME., David W. Boyce and wife Chris Ann of Poland OH, and Lisa M. Boyce of Lower Burrell, PA; four great grandchildren, Scott and Alyssa Thompson, Parker and Colson Boyce; a sister Carol K. Richards of Brandon, SD; nephews and a niece.

Family and friends will be received from 10 am to 11:30 am on Thursday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC.(an authorized remembrance provider) , 524 N. Main St. Greensburg. Services will follow in the funeral home at 11:30am with Pastor Joel Pendl officiating.

The Family would like to especially thank the Personal Care Plus Unit at Redstone Highlands and the Family Hospice for their compassion care.
