Wilford Russell

Wilford M. “Moe” Russell, Jr., 85, of Greensburg died peacefully on October 9, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Moe was born December 9, 1936 in New Kensington, a son of the late Wilford M Russell, Sr. and Nettie Davidson Russell. He was a member of Harrold Zion Lutheran Church.  He was an enlisted veteran of the US Army, serving in Germany for 3 years. Prior to his retirement he worked as a lineman for West Penn Power and rose to Real Estate Representative. Moe loved the outdoors and spending time with friends and family at his camp in Tionesta. He also was a passionate Steeler fan and he never met a beer he didn’t like. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 225, Scottish Rite and the Syria Shrine. He was also a member of American Legion Post, 981 and AMS Club in South Greensburg. Moe is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Russell; son Mark Russell (Deborah) of Damascus MD; daughter Christina (Don) O’Brien of Ligonier; grandchildren Shawn (Lauren), Jonathan and Breanna O’Brien and Nick and Andrew Russell; sister Virginia (Robert) Muntz and brother Thomas Russell as well as extended family. Family and friends will be received on Thursday,October 13th from 3 to 5 pm at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg. A memorial service for Moe will be held on Thursday, November 3rd at 11am at Harrold Zion Lutheran Church.
