William Charley

January 12, 1917 — June 16, 2011

William M. Charley, 94 of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital.
He was born Friday, January 12, 1917 in Derry and was the son of the late Michael and Rebecca Charley.
Bill served in the Army Air Corps. during World War II.
He was the past president of the former Charley Brothers Co.
He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Greensburg and a member and past master of Westmoreland Lodge # 518 and various other Masonic organizations. Bill had the special honor of being a 33rd degree mason. He also was a former member and past president of the Greensburg Rotary Club.
Bill enjoyed his time golfing for years at the Laurel Valley Golf Club in Ligonier.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers Jim and Fred Charley.

Surviving are his loving wife Virginia (Ginny) Charley and a daughter, Judith Schoenthaler and two sons, Michael R. Charley and John A. Charley and a Sister, Louise Bashour, and grandchildren, Lori Schoenthaler, Kristen Kennedy, William Charley, Thomas Charley, and Benjamin Charley.
There will be no public visitation. A private family visitation and service will be held with interment in the St. Clair Cemetery in Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Excela Westmoreland Hospital Foundation, 532 West Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, Pa. 15601
