William M. Mohler

William M. Mohler, 80 of Greensburg, PA passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.  He was born October 26, 1942 in Greensburg, the son of the late William G. and Elizabeth (Fogerty) Mohler.

Bill earned his business degree from the University of Notre Dame and then an MBA from Penn State University. Bill began his career at the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn MI, serving as a District Sales Manager for OH & MI. It was in Dearborn that he met the love of his life Roseann – after she asked him for a ride to the Ford Division office where they both worked. 

As Bill and Roseann started their family, they moved back to PA where Bill operated Mohler Motor Company along with his father, representing the Buick, Opel, and Renault brands. He then branched out and purchased Sendell Motors, adding Volkswagen, Oldsmobile and Mitsubishi. During his career, he was President of the Pittsburgh Buick Dealer Association; Council Member for both the Volkswagen and Buick brands; and board Member and President of the Greater Pittsburgh Automotive Dealer’s Association. In semi-retirement, he also served for many years on the PA Dept of State’s Dealer Licensing Committee which he enjoyed greatly. 

Bill was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church where he was a member of the finance committee and a festival volunteer.  He also served as a board member of CASA and the Greater Latrobe School Board. In Bill’s free time, you could find him out on a golf course or following the news or college sports.  Above all else, Bill cherished every minute spent with his family and especially his six grandchildren who he liked to spoil with sweets and $2 dollar bills. He will be remembered for his quick wit and his infectious smile. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Roseann (Penoza) Mohler; his three children, Christine Mohler King, William Mohler and his wife, Bridget and Robert Mohler and his wife, Lisa Weber; grandchildren, Nathalie & , Adelaide King, and Madelaine, Charlie, Louis and Barrett Mohler; sister, Kathy Kenda and husband, Joe; and sister-in law Charlotte Ferreri and her husband Vince.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, September 10th, 2023 from 1 to 4 pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 N. Main St. Greensburg.  Bill’s funeral Mass will be held Monday, September 11th, 2023 at 1 pm at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 260 Bruno Road, Greensburg, PA 15601.  Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery.  Please join the family for a luncheon to follow at The Boulevard in Greensburg, one of his favorite places.
