William Matthew "Willie" Parks, 92, of New Stanton, passed on, Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at his home. He was born in New Stanton on May 5, 1926, a son of the late William H. and Bertha Miller Parks. He was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greensburg. Prior to retirement, he was an over-the-road trucker and belonged to Teamsters Local No. 30. He enjoyed socializing with other members of the Teamsters Local No. 30, gardening, hunting, fishing and being with relatives at his family camp. William was a loving father and an outstanding, loving, dedicated caregiver to his wife. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Topper Parks, in 2016; sisters, Lillian Parks Bisping and Isabelle Parks Bisping; and a brother, Frederick Parks. William is survived by his daughters, Sharon Lynn Parks and Lori Louise Parks; family friend, Joseph Harrold; grandsons, Alexander Parks and James Willcox and his wife, Jamie; great-grandchildren, Eric, Cole, Carlie and Maggie Willcox; various nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Pearl Parks. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. Additional visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday. William's funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Brian B. Chaffee officiating. Interment will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
