William Scheeser

June 1, 1926 — March 14, 2015

William Anthony Scheeser, 88, of Greensburg, died Saturday, March 14, 2015 in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. He was born June 1, 1926 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Otto and Mercedes Schills Scheeser.

William was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, South Greensburg. Prior to retirement, he was a salesman for Paper Products Company of Pittsburgh. He was a Korean War veteran serving as a radioman with the US Navy. William loved to watch sports, especially the Pittsburgh sports teams.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jean Brinich Scheeser; his precious great grandson, Kevin Scheeser; sister, Jean Frisch.

William is survived by his children, Sandra Cleva (Norm) of Tega Cay, SC, Mark Scheeser (Patty) of Home, PA, Debi Byham (Louis) of Greensburg and Claudia Findle (Richard) of Canonsburg: 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; also, a brother, Don Scheeser (Jean) of Pittsburgh and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Monday from 4-8 pm at KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 North Main Street, Greensburg. Prayers of transfer will be recited on Tuesday at 9:30 AM, in the funeral home, followed by his funeral mass at 10 AM in St. Bruno Catholic Church, South Greensburg. Entombment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Four Gateway Center, 444 Liberty Avenue, Suite 1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
