William Robert Wineman, 84 of Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023.
Bill was a lifelong resident of Greensburg and was surrounded by the best neighbors in the world for the last thirteen years.
He was born October 25, 1938 in Greensburg, a son of the late Arthur L. and Christine E. (Barnhart) Wineman.
Bill was a graduate of Greensburg High School and attended Penn State University. He was a fireman for Company 8 when he was younger. Bill was proud to be an independent truck owner and operator before he became an assembler at Elliot Company. He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greensburg. Bill loved old cars, the outdoors, and wildlife. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. Bill also loved his family pets that gave him much joy in his life, Rusty, Billie, Cheech and a cat, Ottie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur L. Wineman.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Judy M. (Myers) Wineman; sister-in-law, Janet Wineman; and a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Bill's family would like to extend thanks to a special nephew, Andy; special niece, Suzanne; Bridges Hospice: Kristine, Shannon, Marian, and Steve; and a very special thank you to Dr. Grant Shevchik for all of their kindness and care.
Honoring Bill's wishes there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 1st at 11am in the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg, PA 15601.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Westmoreland County Humane Society, PO Box 1552 Greensburg, PA 15601or the Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department Company 8, 900 Highland Avenue, Greensburg, PA 15601.
