Zellars Clayton West, 86, formerly of Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014 in The Woods at Cedar Run in Camp Hill, PA.
He was born in Leechburg, PA, son of the late Clarence and Zella (Shuster) West.
Zellars was a Penn State University graduate, and a very strong supporter of Penn State.
Prior to retirement he worked for Cray Research where he became a Vice President of Sales. His success in selling supercomputers was documented in a Business Week article in 1986 entitled "Where Three Sales a Year Make You a Superstar", and he was mentioned in a book by Charles Murray entitled "The Supermen: The Story of Seymour Cray and the Technical Wizards Behind the Supercomputer".
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois (Kraus) West, and two sons, Brock and Kirk West.
Surviving are his sons, Todd West and wife, Shelley of Mechanicsburg, Mark West of Park City, UT and six grandchildren.
Honoring Zellars' wishes there will be no public visitation, and services will be for family only.
Private interment will be in St. Clair Cemetery.
