Alan D. Carney, 56, of Greensburg, died Monday, January 25, 2016, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital.
He was born on October 23, 1959 in Dubois, PA, a son of Helen J. Zarambo Carney and the late William A. Carney.
Prior to retirement, Alan was a delivery driver for UPS. He was a member of Greensburg VFW, Post # 33 and South Greensburg American Legion, Post # 981. Alan enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the family hunting camp.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Hazel Weidlein Carney; 2 daughters, Dr. Karen Carney and Elaine McConnell (Patrick), all of Greensburg; 2 brothers, Kevin Carney (Sherry) of Reynoldsville and Jason Carney of Greensburg; a sister, Marsha Carney of Greensburg; also, several nieces and nephews.
According to Alan's wishes, there will be no visitation or services. A family and friends gathering will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, Greensburg.
