Barbara Smith

Barbara F. “Babbi” Smith, 76, of Greensburg, died Monday, September 14, 2015 in Excela Latrobe Hospital.  She was born April 5, 1939 in Mt. Pleasant, PA, a daughter of the late Frank and Katherine Freed Barnhart.  She was a member of Maplewood Presbyterian Church, Greensburg.  Prior to retirement, she was a home economics and sewing teacher in the Jeannette School District.  Barbara was a coin collector and enjoyed knitting, sewing and making teddy bears and bunnies.  She is survived by her husband, Keith Allen Smith; a brother, David Barnhart (Reid) of Dallas, TX; a sister, Kathy Barnhart of Charlotte, NC; also, several nieces and nephews.  A gathering of friends and family will held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 10 AM until the hour of Barbara’s memorial service at 11 AM in Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg.  Private interment will be held in Union Cemetery, Greensburg.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 510 Pellis Road, Suite 203, Greensburg, PA 15601.  To offer online condolences, please visit www.kepplegraft.com.
