Beverly J. Walker, 88 of Greensburg, passed away, Friday, September 15, 2017 in Westmoreland Manor. She was born April 22, 1929 in East Brady a daughter of the late James Lloyd and Emma Louise (Hay) Rickel.
Beverly was a loving and caring homemaker and had also been employed by St. Matthias and First Lutheran Churches. She also worked for Montgomery Ward and last worked in the customer service department of the Tribune Review. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Greensburg where she played in the bell choir and was a member of the church choir.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard P. Walker, and two step-sons David and Thomas Walker.
She is survived by her son, Matthew L. Walker and his wife Sheri; three step-sons, Bernard Walker and wife, Coz; Daniel Walker and wife Kim, and Mark Walker, two grandchildren, Liza M. Walker and Benjamin D. Walker and several step-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Mildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 N. Main St, Greensburg. Private interment will take place in Brady’s Bend Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church 300 S. Main St. Greensburg, PA. 15601. Online condolences are welcome at www.kepplegraft.com.
