Carlton Johnson

Carlton E. “Inch” Johnson, 70, of Greensburg, died Monday, April 25, 2016, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital.  Carlton was born in Pittsburgh on April 23, 1946, a son of the late Edwin C. and Natalie C. Johnson.  Prior to retirement, he worked as a drug and alcohol therapist for Pyramid Health Care, Pittsburgh.  Carlton had a passion and cared for the people in the “recovery community”.  Carlton attended Otterbein United Methodist Church, Greensburg.  He enjoyed golfing, singing and going to Motown concerts.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father and Pap Pap.  He followed and cheered for all of the Pittsburgh sports teams.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step mother, Christine Johnson; 2 brothers, Ralph and Gregory Johnson.  He is survived by his wife, Marlene Brogan Johnson; 5 daughters, Cassandra Gatewood of Pittsburgh, Dawn Williams of Greensburg, Kristina Johnson Wojtseck (John) of Greensburg, Karla Kloss of Greensburg and Bonnie Ann DeMasi (Andrew) ; a son, Seth Weaver of Delaware; 2 brothers, Leslie and John Johnson; 5 sisters, Roxanne, Nan, Cornelia “Connie”, Selma Johnson and Sylvia Wilson; 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  Friends and family will be received on Thursday, April 28, 2016, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg.   A funeral service for Carlton will be held on Friday at 11 AM in Otterbein United Methodist Church, 111 College Avenue, Greensburg with Pastor Sung S. Chung officiating.  Private interment will be held in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. Kepple-Graft Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gateway Rehab, 311 Rouser Road, Moon, PA 15108.
