Catherine Smith Persio, 67 of Ligonier, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010 in Excela Latrobe Hospital.
She was born Thursday, May 13, 1943 in Blairsville, Daughter of the late Frank and Elda Smith.
Cathy worked as a Pharmacist for the Boswell Prescription Store .
She was a member of Alpha Ministries church and an avid Steeler fan.
Cathy was preceded in death besides her parents by a son Michael.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and friend to all that knew her.
Surviving are her husband, Norman L. Persio a Son, Andy Persio, a Granddaughter, Skylar Persio and her Brother, Rick Smith.
Family and Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 Pm at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg, PA.
Additional visitation will be held in the Alpha Ministries Church, Pleasant Vally Road, Jeannette on Tuesday from 9 to 10 am followed by a funeral service to celebrate Cathy's life with Rev. James Lyons officiating.
Interment will follow in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Homeless Ministries in care of Alpha Ministries, PO Box 3001 Greensburg, Pa. 15601.
