Elizabeth Gibson

Elizabeth (Beth) Sheehan Gibson, 61, of Greensburg, passed away July 28, 2017 at home surrounded by family after an epic 13 year battle with cancer.

She was born July 27, 1956 in Washington, PA, a daughter of Elizabeth (Betty) Canary Sheehan and the late Louis A. Sheehan.  Beth was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church in Greensburg. She was a schoolteacher until the birth of her first child and from then on, a homemaker and mother. Beth enjoyed traveling and loved the beach.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, James E. Sheehan.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years,  Joseph G. Gibson, her daughter, Margaret Gibson Peck and husband, Corey Peck of Belle Vernon, her son, Joseph R. Gibson of Pittsburgh, six sisters; Kathy Valentino and husband, Rich of Homer City, PA, Patty Guerriere and husband, Robert of Chalk Hill, PA,  Marianne Thompson of  Taylor, South Carolina, Eileen Rush of Washington, PA,  Joni Hundzienski and husband, Ed, of Canonsburg, PA, and Peggy Trefnoff and husband, Randy, of Houston, PA; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends will be received Saturday from 6-8pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg. A funeral mass will be held on Monday at 10am at Our Lady of Grace Church 1011 Mt. Pleasant Road, Greensburg. (Everyone please go directly to the church.)

Private entombment will be held in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
