Janet Schmitt

Janet J. Schmitt, 66 of Greensburg, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 at her home.

She was born  in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Ethelda (Deer) Spangler.

Janet was a member of Christ's Church in Greensburg. She loved spending time with her grandkids and enjoyed vacationing with her family.

Prior to retirement she worked as a Real Estate Agent  for Coldwell Banker. She had also worked as a secretary for the Heinz Co. in Pittsburgh and as a waitress at the Greensburg Country Club.

Surviving are her husband,  Richard  Schmitt; her daughter, Melissa Husenits (Mike) of Greensburg; granddaughter, Rachel Husenits; grandsons, Luke and Daniel Husenits; sister, Carol Conley (Joe) of Fombell, PA; brother, Kenneth Spangler (Gloria) of Fombell, PA; nieces, Chrissy Grady and Connie Bugrin; and nephew, Glenn Spangler.

Family and friends will be received on Monday from 4 to 8pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg.

Services will be held on Tuesday at Christ's Church 145 North Main St., Greensburg at 10:00 am with Father Jeff Wylie officiating. Everyone please go directly to the church.

Interment will follow in the St. Clair Cemetery.
