Linda “DeDe” Byers Feightner, 95, of Greensburg, died Friday, January 27, 2017 in Elizabeth Seton Memory Care Center, Greensburg. She was born on December 21, 1921, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Harry A. Byers and Mary M. Andrews Byers. DeDe was a lifelong member of First Reformed United Church of Christ, Greensburg. She was a graduate of Grove City College. She had volunteered at Excela Westmoreland Hospital where she was a member the hospital’s Auxiliary Unit 14. Also, she was a past member of the Greensburg College Club and Greensburg Library Board. DeDe was an avid bridge player. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Feightner; her grandson, Pat Gallagher; also, a sister, Sis Herrington. DeDe is survived by her daughters, Melinda Gallagher (Charles) of Mentor, OH and Anne Sprout (Ronald) of Silver Spring, MD; her son, Mark Feightner (Amy) of Arden, NC; her sister, Peggy Lockard; 5 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Family and friends will be received at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg on Tuesday from noon until the hour of service at 1 pm, with Pastor Steve Craft officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Reformed United Church of Christ, 312 South Maple Avenue, Greensburg, PA 15601.
