Suzanne Kepple

March 9, 1944 — December 6, 2017

Suzanne H. Kepple, 73, of New Alexandria passed away Wednesday December 6, 2017 at home after a brief battle with cancer in the arms of her loving husband of 55 years.

She was born March 9, 1944 in Greensburg, daughter of the late James and Madeline (O’Brien) Himmelwright.

Throughout her life Sue worked on the family farm with her husband.  She also worked at the Agricultural Office and owned her own massage therapy business. Suzanne was a 1962 graduate of Greensburg Salem High School, a member of Delmont Salem Rotary, and a Penn State Master Gardener. She was a member of Congruity Presbyterian Church and also attended Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was an avid walker and loved the outdoors.  Sue enjoyed learning new things and was blessed with an upbeat attitude toward life.   She enjoyed family and friends to the fullest. Her greatest joys in life were her faith, her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Brooke Kepple Kemsey.

Along with her husband George, she is survived by her sons, Thomas (Beth) Kepple of Delmont, James (Michelle) Kepple of New Alexandria, and a daughter Sharon (Kevan) Kemsey of New Alexandria; her grandchildren, Kristie (James) Roemer, Stacey (Alex) Burns, Michael Kepple, Paige Kemsey, and Brad Kemsey; Great grandchildren, Tyler and Andrew Roemer, Sadie Fink, and Madeline Burns; Two brothers, James and Gary Himmelwright as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday from 1-4pm and 6-8pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11:30am at Congruity Presbyterian Church 136 Fenneltown Road, New Alexandria, PA 15670. Everyone is to go directly to the church.

Private interment will take place in St. Clair Cemetery.
