M. Yoland Boord, 91, of Greensburg, died, Saturday, August 26, 2017 in her home. She was born in Lemont Furnace on August 1, 1926, a daughter of the late John Hanan and Lulu Kinsell Hanan. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Greensburg where she belonged to the Women’s Association and was a former member of the church choir. She also worked at the church’s booth during the Westmoreland County Fair and baked bread for the church’s pancake suppers. Prior to retirement, Yoland worked as the cleaning lady for Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, for over 25 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ernest “Ernie” Boord; her brothers, Jick, Woody, Don Hanan and her sister, Rachel Connor. She is survived by her children, Robert “Bob” Boord (Donna), Judy Fortin (John), Charles “Pip” Boord (Lisa), Tom Boord (Toni), Ken Boord (Carol Ann), Joyce Swiantek (Michael) and Janet Flock (Randy); 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great granddaughters; also, several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg. Yoland’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am in the funeral home with Pastor Shirley Musick officiating. Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery.
